Chasing the Falconers is about two ecscaped fugitives fleeing across the country. Aiden and his younger sister Meg are trapped in a juvenile detention center named Sunnydale because they had no where to go since there parents are in jail. There parents have been framed and the kids are determened to prove them inocent. When a accident happens they have a chance to ecscape. On their way to Vermont the run into Miguel who had also ecscaped from Sunnydale. He helps Aiden and meg flee from the cops many times. But when Miguel gets shot and gets turned in they're on there own again.

I think this book was excelent. I would recomed this book to anyone who likes reading about adventures. I really like how the author uses a lot of detail about the setting, the characters feelings, and whats happening. Using all the detail made me feel like I was in the sory and most of the time I couldn't put it down. I didn't like how it didn't say much about how the parents were framed or what they were framed for. I highly recomened this book.

Mariah Houser's December Book Review

Title:The Book Without Words
Author:Avi
Genre:Fable
5/5

This book is about a man who never wants to die, so he made a potion that came out of "The Book Without Words", but the only person who can read the book is a green-eyed person, because green means "life". His slave, Sybil, and his other slave, Odo who is a raven, do not know the danger they have ahead of them, and it just might cost them their lives.

Some other people appear in this book, including a ghost lady. The potion this man is making makes four glowing, eye catching green stones that make him live. Even though these stones make him live, he dies more than once. This man can also make gold, but the gold never lasts since it's fake.

My opinion of this story is that, to me, it is soooo good, you need to read it. I love this book because it has a talking raven, magic, some chapters that just leave you hanging there, and a man that dies more than once.

Holes By: Louis Sacher
For my December book review I chose the book Holes. This book is a bout a young boy named Stanley Yelnats and he gets sent to a Juvenile Correctional Facility called Camp "Green Lake" and he gets sent there because he was mysteriously in the wrong place at the wrong time. But while at Camp Green Lake he meets 5 boys Zero, Magnet, X-ray,Squid and Armpit and they become his best friends especially Zero.
I like this book because it is a story inside of a story so to speak. it is also one of a few books that you can read over and over again and it doesn't get boring. But most of all I like how the author makes the charators so real it's like you can go to there house. That is why I picked Holes.
I give this book a 5/5

December Book Review

Book:Eragon
Genre:Fantasy
Author:Christopher Paolini
Reviewed by:Peter
Rating:5/5
The book Eragon is about a poor farm boy named Eragon who finds a polished blue stone in the forest and takes it home with him. Overnight, the stone opens to reveal a dragon hatchling. When dark strangers come looking for the stone, Eragon and the dragon are forced to flee their home and find safety from an evil king and his armies with the help from an old story teller and an ancient sword. Will Eragon become one of the legendary Dragon Riders, or is he doomed to fall into the evil king's clutches?
A very detailed book, Eragon has well concluded chapters that let you think about what just happened and what may lie ahead. With the main characters being flawed and each having their own secrets, I think it's an exciting story. Filled with magic and adventure, Eragon is my favorite book, and I believe it's a book any fantasy reader would love.
The author of Eragon, Christopher Paolini, lives in Paradise Valley, Montana, and Eragon was the first book he wrote.
